Thursday, January 18th, 2024: Utica Academy of Science Junior-Senior High School was honored to host Mr. Tim Fitzgerald, Vice President of Mohawk Valley EDGE, for a captivating motivational and leadership speech to our seniors.
Mr. Fitzgerald, a distinguished alumnus of Utica University, shared his incredible academic journey and highlighted the importance of leadership, excellence, and passion. From his role in the National Political Science Honor Society to serving as President of the James Sherman Political Science Society, his successful track record is commendable.
As a Summa Cum Laude graduate and a dynamic participant in academics and sports, Mr. Fitzgerald's story is one of dedication and achievement. Currently contributing his expertise as the Vice President of Mohawk Valley EDGE, he emphasized the value of collaboration and the impact of economic development on the Utica region.
Sunday, January 21st, 2024: Grade 8 Utica Academy of Science scholars showcased their brilliance at the "First Robotic Tech Challenge Competition (FTC)" held at MVCC. Team 2474, aka “Utica Atomic Robots,” represented Utica Academy proudly as the rookie of 23 teams, marking our school's debut in this thrilling competition!
The experience was invaluable as Atoms showcased their skills and had the chance to connect with teams from various school districts, fostering knowledge and camaraderie.
January 17-18th, 2024: Several members of the Utica Academy of Science senior class visited the Elementary classrooms to read to the scholars. The seniors held a book drive for the elementary students, then spent two afternoons delivering the books to the classrooms and spending some quality time with our younger scholars while reading to them. What an amazing way to give back to the community. Thank you, seniors!
Wednesday, January 17th, 2024: The Utica Academy of Science Elementary December students of the month and class Dojo winners were given a special breakfast. Atoms who were named Students of the Month showed responsibility in their daily actions. Responsibility was the December character trait.

Tuesday, January 16th, 2024: Utica Academy of Science Junior-Senior High School started a new way to lift each other up. “The Love Jug” is now in the staff lounge, ready for teachers & staff to drop positive notes spreading warmth and encouragement on these chilly winter days.
