Utica Academy 5th Annual Science Fair was a blast

On Saturday, March 17, 2018, Utica Academy of Science held its 5th annual science fair. There were scholars present from grades 6th, 7th and 8th. There were many talented and unique projects presented and judged. A big thank you goes out to the scholars and science teacher for their hard work, and the parents for making this possible. There were many demonstrators at the fair as well showing off some impressive displays of science, technology and engineering.

The Winners are as follows:

1st place:
6th grade- Ngcoba Prince
7th grade-Rifet Sokolar
8th grade-Clifton Rogers

2nd place:
6th grade- Elama Nadarevic
7th grade-Zerina Tricic
8th grade-Dzana Borovic

3rd place:
6th grade- Gisselle Tejada
7th grade- Ayden Genther
8th grade-Adela Sokolar

Our Grand Prize winner was a scholar from 6th grade - Mia Bajic.

Congratulations to all participants and winners for their hard work and dedication.

Winners of grades 7th and 8th will move on to compete at the Utica College #Sciencefair on Saturday, March 24th. #UASCS #UASAtoms

Utica Academy of Science

The Utica Academy of Science Charter School (UASCS) will provide support, challenges and opportunities for its students, and it will instill the necessary skills and knowledge in math, science, and technology to empower students, through high intellectual standards, preparing them for college, career, and citizenship. The school seeks to graduate students who can think critically and creatively, who are committed to a lifetime of learning and civic involvement, and who are conscious of local, global, and environmental issues.
