UAS Alum Named to the All-Region 3 Division II First Team

Utica Academy of Science Alum, LaMarqus Merchant Jr. Named to All-Region 3 Division II First Team

Tuesday, March 7th, 2023: Congratulations to Utica Academy of Science alumni LaMarqus Merchant Jr., who is now a sophomore guard at NJCAA Division II powerhouse Niagara Community College and was named to the All-Region 3 Division II First Team. His 13 points and   10 rebounds helped the nationally-ranked No. 2 Thunderwolves – 28-1 and heading to the NJCAA Nationals – rout Monroe Community College 96-72 in the Region 3 championship game. Merchant is averaging 8.3 points and 5.9 rebounds.
