Saturday, May 16th, 2026: Utica Academy of Science Junior-Senior High School ENL students enjoyed an educational visit to the New Hartford Public Library. During their visit, students explored the library, read books, completed puzzles, and participated in a variety of interactive activities. Many students signed up for library cards for the first time and borrowed books to take home, encouraging a love of reading beyond the classroom. Students also had the opportunity to visit the library bookstore, where they selected books that matched their personal interests.

The day also included time for students to socialize and build connections with their peers. They enjoyed breakfast treats, shared pizza for lunch, and relaxed together in the library’s outdoor seating area.

The trip provided students with a valuable opportunity to explore community resources, strengthen literacy skills, and enjoy a fun learning experience outside the classroom. Many students said they look forward to visiting the library again.
