Tuesday, April 28th, 2026: Utica Academy of Science Charter School Junior-Senior High School welcomed visitors from KeyBank and United Way of the Mohawk Valley as part of a three-week Financial Literacy series. This initiative is part of a strong, ongoing collaboration among Utica Academy of Science, KeyBank, and United Way of the Mohawk Valley.

Financial literacy is a critical life skill for today’s students. Gaining an understanding of money management, credit, and long-term financial planning equips students with the knowledge and confidence needed to make informed decisions as they prepare for adulthood.

Throughout the series, students engaged in interactive discussions, explored real-world scenarios, and completed guided activities focused on key topics such as budgeting, credit, and small business planning. These hands-on experiences helped bridge the gap between classroom learning and practical, everyday applications.
