Wednesday, April 15, 2020—The Varsity Volleyball team qualified for the NYSPHSAA Scholar-Athlete Team award. The following scholar/athletes had a minimum 90 average after the second marking period and helped them attain this honor. Congrats goes out to our coach Mr. Rodegher and these student-athletes!

Tuesday, April 14, 2020—How do you talk to little ones about germs, COVID-19, and the importance of washing our hands? First-grade #UASCS teacher, Ms. DeAngelis, assigned an at-home science experiment aimed at demonstrating how soap can help repel germs. Thanks, George, for helping share this lesson with the rest of your class!

Thursday, April 2, 2020—Pajama Party! ? #UASCS Elementary Scholars participated in a Zoom PJ Party. Our young scholars were accompanied by their favorite stuffed animal, and some even brought their pet along! Atoms enjoyed story time, and engaging with their community. See you next time, Scholars!
Friday, April 3, 2020—Zoom Meetings, Lego Masterpieces, Science Experiments... we miss our scholars in the classroom, but we are so proud of their hard work in keeping up with their education while at home. So really, that's a big shout-out to all the parents out there making sure your students are staying engaged. Y'all are the real MVP's right now. ?

Tuesday, March 10, 2020—First-grade scholars enjoyed a cooking demonstration form Tammy Pittsley, who is the Director of Dining Services at Chartwells where our school food is provided from. This cooking demonstration activity helped students to observe the process of preparing a meal to help them better understand where their food comes from.
Thursday, March 12, 2020—The second-grade team played hard during their last field trip to Accelerate Sports. The students played a game of kickball, dodge ball, and even had a nerf war! Students practiced teamwork and good sportsmanship.
Thursday, March 19, 2020—We asked our entire teaching staff to change the way they handle student engagement and curriculum in the course of 24 hours—and it's remarkable to see how they have risen to the challenge. Our PE Teacher has already created a microsite for her classroom. The site is filled with activities and resources for her students. Not only that, but Ms. Digristina found a way to seamlessly continue the American Heart Association's challenge that students began a few weeks ago.
