Thursday, September 29th, 2022: Utica Academy of Science Junior Senior High School students took a field trip to the Farmers' Museum in Cooperstown, New York, where atoms had a chance to enhance their learning experience with real artifacts from history. This unique experience created epic memories for our students and lessons they will bring back to the classroom.

Monday, September 26th, 2022: Utica Academy of Science Junior Senior High School Atoms became one with nature on a field trip to Bald Mountain. It was an excellent opportunity to explore the great outdoors, get some fresh air, and check out the incredible fall foliage in the Adirondacks!

UAS JSHS Soccer Teams Throw Pep Rally for School

Friday, September 23rd, 2022: Let’s get loud! Utica Academy of Science Junior Senior High School organized a Soccer Pep Rally for students during periods 7 & 8 in the gym. The soccer teams were introduced, and atoms tested their athletic skills by playing competitive games among grade levels. It was an exciting way to end the week!

Girls Varsity Soccer Defeats Madison

UAS Varsity Girls Soccer Team Defeats Madison

Monday, September 19th, 2022: Utica Academy of Science Charter School Girls Varsity Soccer Team defeated Madison 2-0! The first goal came in the first half by 7th Grader Ajna Husovic, assisted by 12th grader Damaris Alvarez. The second goal came in the second half, which Damaris Alavarez also scored. Coach Hamza’s team played a great game and looked dominant the entire time. Congrats, Lady Atoms Soccer team, on the win!

Sunday, September 11th, 2022- Utica Academy of Science Junior Senior High School participated in the Souls of Cornhill Ethnic Festival. This event gave our students and community a chance to come together and give back with school supplies, gear, and community resources! We were so glad to be a part of this fantastic community event!

Utica High School Participates in Cybersecurity Bootcamp

UAS Cybersecurity Class Participates in Bootcamp

Thursday, August 11th, 2022- Classes may have already started, but we’re throwing it back to summer! Utica Academy of Science Cybersecurity Class went on a two-day Cyber boot camp in Virginia with Mr. Seker, and the school’s Dean, Mr. Ersoy. College-bound Students had a chance to take a Cybersecurity class at CyberNow Labs and visit the prestigious Verizon Security Operation Center. Special thanks to CyberNow Labs for letting our students use the Security Operation Center and Verizon CISO Steve Swanson for the warm hospitality and an eye-opening presentation on cybersecurity issues.

First-week Assembly

Thursday & Friday, September 8-9, 2022- It's hard to believe we've already had a full week of classes! Utica Academy of Science Junior Senior High School students had their first-week grade-level assemblies in the cafeteria last week. The administration and teachers reviewed school-wide expectations, support systems, and academic opportunities for the upcoming school year. Atoms also had a chance to ask their own questions as we kick off the 2022-23 academic year.

Summer School ENL Class Trip

Wednesday, August 3, 2022: What would summer school be without bringing a little fun into the mix? Utica Academy of Science Junior Senior High School ENL Department took ENL students out in the community to see downtown Utica, Munson Williams Museum, and Utica Library. Students were able to get a library card. The class also stopped by Utica Coffee.

Atoms Work Hard and Play Harder at Field Day Event

Utica Academy of Science elementary school celebrates all their hard work and accomplishments this year by having some fun in the sun during their Field Day event.

Friday, June 17th, 2022Bounce house, relay races, hula-hoop contest, tug-of-war, parachute games, and more! It sounds like an epic Field Day at Utica Academy of Science elementary school.

We all know that the Atoms don't just work hard, but they play harder! To celebrate all their hard work, students participated in a day full of fun, festivities, activities, and competition. Throughout the day, Atoms were given chances to win awards, with the top prize being the Sportsmanship Award. This Sportsmanship Award was awarded to the students who displayed a great attitude while following the rules, helped out their classmates who might be feeling discouraged, and showed positivity and kindness to others throughout the day.

We want to thank the teachers, faculty, and staff who helped make this Field Day event possible and for coordinating all the activities and events. We hope all our Atoms are having a happy, healthy, and great summer!
