Monday, November 11th, 2024: In honor of Veterans Day, Utica Academy of Science will be closed on Monday, November 11th, as we remember and thank all the heroes who have served. Let’s honor their courage, dedication, and sacrifice for our country. If you know a veteran, remember to thank them for their service! Enjoy the long weekend. We look forward to seeing you back in class on Tuesday, November 12th.

This time allows our amazing teachers and staff to engage in important professional development, strengthening their skills and strategies to provide our students with the best learning experience. Our top priority is ensuring the safety and well-being of our students, staff, and visitors. This comprehensive plan outlines our procedures and protocols for maintaining a secure and supportive learning environment.

The Utica Academy of Science Charter School (UASCS) is excited to announce two new projects funded by generous grants from the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services. We seek bids from qualified companies, builders, and contractors to improve our school's security and accessibility.

• Project 1: Lighting Improvements
  • Project Code: HC23-2284-E00
  • Description: Enhance the lighting in the front and back parking lots.
  • Maximum Award: $35,000

  • Project Code: HC23-2072-E00
  • Description: Improve access control by installing metal detectors and X-ray baggage scanners at the school entrance.
  • Maximum Award: $48,500
